At this years Aircraft Interiors EXPO in Hamburg, Germany, TIMCO Aerosystems unveiled a new FeatherWeight™ modular galley design that generated significant interest among global airlines.  This revolutionary approach to constructing an aircraft galley provides airline owners and operators with the benefits of reduced weight, reduced engineering and manufacturing time and reduced complexity for future reconfiguration and updating.  The galley consists of a standardized outside shell structure which supports modular inserts from a wide variety of manufacturers.  The standard inserts are afixed using standard attachment points, minimizing the engineering development time for new configurations.

Modular insert configurations could include any combination of the following as examples:

·      Rice cooker

·      Espresso maker

·      Miscellaneous stowage compartments

·      Standard Atlas or KSSU drawer compartments

·      Standard Atlas or KSSU container stowage compartments

·      Refrigerated and un-refrigerated compartments

·      Oven provisions (including convection oven, steam oven and extended ovens)

·      Microwave

·      Water spigot provisions

·      Water boilers

·      Coffee makers

·      Warming ovens
